Lights Out
In Lights out, JB depicts a building with it lights turned off, representing the quiet and unseen lives within the city. He imagines the people to be happy and free - free in the sense that they don't need to worry about food. Through this simple, yet powerful imagery, JB explores the idea that true freedom comes from security of not having to worry about food on their plates.
JB is 16 and currently housed in a facility for homeless and displaced families and children.
